Terra Oil LLC is an international investment platform focused on acquiring, redeveloping, and scaling conventional oil and gas assets in Argentina. The platform provides institutional and private investors with structured access to producing fields supported by long-life concessions, established infrastructure, and experienced local operators.
Terra Oil was formed to capitalize on a unique market window created by the divestment of mature, non-core assets by major operators. Through disciplined capital allocation, active asset management, and strong local partnerships, Terra Oil seeks to unlock value in undercapitalized conventional fields while maintaining a conservative risk profile.
Our platform is designed to aggregate investor capital and deploy it into producing assets with existing infrastructure, low decline profiles, and meaningful upside through redevelopment programs such as well reactivations, workovers, secondary recovery, and selective drilling.
Argentina’s conventional sector has experienced prolonged underinvestment as capital shifted toward unconventional development. Terra Oil’s strategy is to acquire and reposition these assets using disciplined operational execution and institutional governance standards.
Beyond its initial investment, Terra Oil is structured as a scalable platform intended to pursue additional upstream and midstream opportunities across Argentina.
- Prioritize Long-Life Reserves: Focus on acquiring and developing assets with extended production horizons.
- Maximize Infrastructure Efficiency: Leverage existing midstream and surface assets to reduce capital intensity.
- Align with Local Expertise: Partner exclusively with proven operators who possess deep regional knowledge.
- Enforce Disciplined Governance: Maintain a rigorous capital allocation framework to ensure high-return hurdles.
- Ensure Price Resilience: Structure investments to prioritize downside protection and weather commodity volatility.
Terra Oil’s initial investment is the Santa Cruz Conventional Cluster, a producing oil and gas portfolio located in Argentina’s San Jorge Basin, one of the country’s most established hydrocarbon provinces.
The cluster is composed of three contiguous mature concessions:
Together, the concessions cover approximately 2,600 square kilometers and benefit from shared production, transportation, and processing infrastructure.

Argentina is one of Latin America’s most important hydrocarbon producers, with a long history of conventional oil and gas development. While recent investment has focused heavily on unconventional resources, the conventional sector continues to represent a large share of production and reserves.
Years of underinvestment have created opportunities to acquire producing assets at attractive valuations and enhance performance through focused redevelopment programs.
Argentina is undergoing a process of economic normalization aimed at restoring market confidence, stabilizing the macro framework, and attracting foreign investment. Energy remains a strategic sector for the country, with strong regulatory support and export potential.
Terra Oil’s strategy is designed to navigate the Argentine context through conservative structuring, local partnerships, and disciplined capital deployment.
